Let's Talk
Detailed landscape design surrounding a residential property

How We Work

Our Process

From First Idea to Final Planting

A thoughtful process creates a better landscape.

Creating a landscape involves hundreds of decisions, but the experience shouldn't feel complicated. Our process keeps each phase clear, collaborative, and connected to the larger vision for your property.

From our first walk through the site to the final details of installation, you'll always know where the project stands and what comes next.

The Verde Process

Five steps. One complete vision.

1

Discover

We begin with the property, and with you.

Every project starts with a conversation. We learn how you use your outdoor space, what isn't working, what you're drawn to, and what you hope the property can become.

From there, we walk the site and consider its architecture, existing landscape, sunlight, views, circulation, and opportunities.

Design

Ideas become a cohesive landscape.

With the property understood, we begin shaping the overall design. Layout, planting, materials, outdoor living areas, and circulation are considered together rather than as separate pieces.

The goal is not simply to fill the property, but to create a landscape that feels natural to the home and intentional from every angle.

Refine

We work through the details together.

A strong first concept is only the beginning. We review the design with you, discuss priorities, and refine the details until the plan feels right for both the property and the way you want to live outdoors.

Materials, plant selections, features, and project scope are finalized before construction begins.

Build

The plan takes shape on site.

Once the design is finalized, the landscape moves from paper to property. Hardscape, grading, planting, lighting, and other elements are coordinated as parts of the same design.

Careful execution ensures the details developed during the design phase carry through into the finished work.

Grow

Completion is only the beginning.

A newly completed landscape is designed with the future in mind. As plantings establish and mature, the property develops greater texture, character, and connection to its surroundings.

We finish by helping you understand how the landscape will evolve and what it needs to continue looking its best.

Clear From the Start

No mystery between the first meeting and the finished garden.

Every property is different, so the details of the process naturally vary from project to project. What doesn't change is the communication. You'll understand the scope, decisions, and next steps as the work moves forward.
